It's a secret society. All we ask is trust

Facebook Groups: What’s it all about?

Just like any social networking environment, it can only do one thing….EVOLVE!  Facebook now give you the chance to create “groups”. With the same basic principles of any club, these groups have member criteria, initiations, and in some cases a review and probation period.  These groups include range s of everything from Family all the way down to our favorite thing to talk about. SEX!
As a member of a few groups, I can say personally that they all have something different. Whether it’s the cast of characters the make up the group or the content of what is discussed.  Everything from informative relationship help to exposing what turns you on in the bedroom.  Whatever your guilty pleasure, there’s a group for you.  If not just create your own group. Name it whatever you want and add whoever you want.  It can be fun and it also can be very addictive.  I’m just forewarning you.  If you find a group you really enjoy, you’ll spend more time there then on your regular page.
I must warn you, when creating a group, be prepared to deal with cliques and drama of some sort. When you put people together it’s only a matter of time before the “he said, she said” shows up and the “I don’t like him/her because...”  It never fails, I have seen and heard and even been involved in it.  So before you decide to start or request membership to the elite “secret society” of Facebook. Make sure you’ve got thick skin and can take the trash talking and explicit nature of most humans and other people in the world. Most importantly, live your group life by the rule: “Whatever happens here stays here.”  If you can do that, you’ll be fine.  So start, join, or ask a friend if they have any groups you can get into.  Just make sure you’re ready for what you may see.
I don’t want you to think that all FB groups are built around sex and all out freak fests.  Some groups are about community outreach and bettering themselves. Study groups and school alumni committees, and even spiritual growth and prayer groups. So have fun with it and be safe. And never forget that you are an adult and should act as one.
